Controlling a PowerFlex 525 AC Drive This Lab provides the basics for setting up a PowerFlex 525 drive, and then creating a CCW and a Logix configuration to control the drive.
Studio5000 Logix Designer Fundamentals This lab provides a hands-on introduction to basic Logix controller programming using Studio 5000 Logix Designer®. Participants will develop foundational skills in Logix programming and become familiar with the Studio 5000 platform.
Studio5000 Logix Designer: What's New and Next Steps Advanced This lab builds upon introductory Logix programming concepts, exploring advanced workflows and programming techniques within the Studio 5000 Logix Designer® environment. Participants will engage in hands-on exercises focused on advanced programming practices.
Using FactoryTalk Linx Gateway Software To Securely Access and Manage a Control System This session examines FactoryTalk® Linx Gateway's methods for accessing control data, covering OPC UA, DDE, Excel RTD, and MQTT interfaces. It details how tag information is presented for various implementations and how secure communication is configured and established with client software for connectivity and data verification. The use of custom Excel workbooks for data upload/download and histogram logging is also covered.
Stratix Switches Fundamentals This session covers integrating Stratix® switches into plant networks for improved reliability and manageability. Participants will become familiar with Stratix® switches and management/diagnostic tools, including the WebUI, Studio 5000® Add-on Profiles (AOPs), and FactoryTalk® View faceplates. Device Level Ring configuration will also be covered.
Stratix Switches Advanced This hands-on lab explores advanced Stratix® switch features for network optimization, including Network Address Translation (NAT), VLAN segmentation, connected routing, switch resiliency, and security. Basic Stratix® switch knowledge is assumed.
Networks Foundations: Stratix 2500 Lightly Managed Switch This lab will take you through many features provided with the Stratix 2500 lightly managed switch with various switch configuration options available within the Device Manager web interface. You will review integration into Studio 5000 Logix Designer® for ease of setup and diagnostics purposes in addition to installing and configuring the new all-in-one Stratix Add-on Instruction (AOI) and corresponding Next Generation FactoryTalk® View Studio Edition (SE) faceplates for the Stratix 2500 lightly managed switches.
Develop A Standalone Machine Application with Connected Components Workbench Software In this training lab, you will learn how to use Connected Components Workbench™ software to configure a PowerFlex® 525 drive, program a Micro870® controller, create and download a PanelView™ 800 terminal application, and discover how Logix Theme can help you to design with ease.
Advanced Machine Design With Connected Components Workbench Software Discover digital engineering for Micro800™ controllers by experiencing Connected Components Workbench™ software capabilities such as the Micro800™ simulator, MQTT connectivity for IIoT, and Ethernet implicit I/O messaging integration for Micro800™ controllers with Kinetix® 5100 and PowerFlex® 520 drives.
Entry Level Motion with Kinetix 5100 fundamentals You will be introduced to the features and capabilities of the Kinetix® 5100 drive, along with various integration possibilities for your applications. Additionally, you will experience how effortlessly you can define your motion processes in different settings.
Integrated Motion on EtherNet/IP Fundamentals In this lab, you'll discover the benefits of a Kinetix® integrated motion solution on Ethernet/IP. You'll learn how to easily size and select a motion system using FactoryTalk® Motion Analyzer for a sample application. You can then choose to either explore new features in FactoryTalk® Motion Analyzer, such as ratio analysis, four-quadrant analysis, and solution scaling, or configure, commission, program, and troubleshoot a Kinetix® integrated motion application in Studio 5000 Logix Designer®.
Introduction to Design Systems in the Cloud Using FactoryTalk Design Studio This hands-on lab explores FactoryTalk® Design Studio™, covering topics such as generative AI integration for automation system design, cloud-based collaboration, and the application of modern software development practices for on-premise project design and deployment.
